Hutesa Agroalimentaria receives the 2026 Family-Business Award from San Telmo Business School.

The Malaga-based company, specialising in the production and export of table olives, has been recognised for its business track record, international growth and a model based on commitment, innovation and people.

Fuente de Piedra, Málaga, 11 June 2026.– HUTESA Agroalimentaria has received the 2026 Family-Business Award, granted by the BBVA Chair in Family Business at San Telmo Business School, in recognition of its business track record and its contribution to the development and internationalisation of the Andalusian agri-food sector.

Founded in the late 1980s by Mª Paz Hurtado and Gregorio López, the company began its activity as a small family project dedicated to the buying and selling of olives. In the early 1990s, it established itself in Fuente de Piedra, where it began its industrial development, eventually becoming one of the leading family businesses in the table olive packaging sector, across all formats and varieties.

“This recognition reflects effort, perseverance and trust”

Today, HUTESA — a distinctly export-oriented company — has a regular presence in more than 45 countries across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas, consolidating its position as a company with a clear international vocation and a prominent standing in foreign markets.

“Este reconocimiento supone un orgullo para toda nuestra familia y para las personas que han formado parte de este proyecto durante todos estos años. Es el reflejo del esfuerzo, la constancia y la confianza en una forma de hacer empresa basada en los valores y el compromiso”, ha señalado Mª Paz Hurtado, presidenta de HUTESA Agroalimentaria.

The incorporation of the second generation, with Javier López Hurtado at the helm as CEO, has ensured the continuity of a business model that combines tradition, innovation and sustainable growth.

In addition to its business activity, HUTESA maintains a firm commitment to its local environment through various social, sports and international cooperation initiatives.

With this award, San Telmo Business School recognises the trajectory of an Andalusian family business that has successfully transformed an entrepreneurial initiative into a solid, international, sustainable and digitalised business project, prepared to face the challenges of the future.
